Kenny Wayne Shepherd Shipshewana Concert reviews
Best KWS show yet!!
We have seen Kenny Wayne 5 times and all of the shows were awesome. However this show was by far the best. KWS is one if not the best guitarist in the world. His performance was unbelievable. Noah and the rest of the band were also at the top of their game.
AS for the venue, The Canyon Agoura Hills there were some issues. The dude who seated us did not know where our seats were and tried to put our party of 4 with 3 seats together on one side of the table and the 4th seat on the other side. I complained bitterly so he went to get advice and sure enough he had seated the people ahead of us in the wrong seats and had to make everybody move while they were in the middle of dinner. Not a pretty sight. The food was OK and just like the last show "The Immediate Family" we were not served salad or dessert even though we had paid for it.
Not sure what is up with the food service at the Canyon. We have been there 20 - 25 times and everything pre-COVID used to run pretty smoothly but not any more. We have 2 shows there in April so hopefully they will have worked the kinks out by then.
The Canyon also has a new protocol where you wait in a very long line and pay for your meal before you enter. I don't have a problem with paying in. advance but the long 45 mini=ute to 1 hr wait in line is a pain. Pre COVID you could arrive at 7:00 be seated at your table immediately and order your dinner. For the Immediate Family show we arrived at 7:00 waited in line for 1 1/2 hrs got seated at 8:30 and didn't get our food until 10:00 with no salad or dessert. We were still eating during the encore!
Things were a little faster for the KWS show but still did not get served our food (minus salad & dessert) until half way through the show.
Please get your act together Canyon Club and proved the same level of service you did pre-COVID!
